The Mongoose offers customers a lightweight, low-recoil pistol-caliber carbine for competition, home defense and plinking. Low recoiling mass is achieved by using a short-recoil operating system with redundant locking lugs rather than the conventional straight blowback system. A front cap compensator not only reduces muzzle rise but also ensures reliable firing when front barrier contact is encountered. Ambidextrous controls include mag release, safety selector and bolt catch/release. The non-reciprocating charging handle can be customized to either left or right-hand side. Takedown and field stripping is easy and quick. Magpul 35rd magazines allow for reliable feeding up the feed ramp and into the tilted barrels chamber.
